Joy to the World: An Advent Bible Reading PlanNäide

Read Luke 2:8-12
Nearby, a bunch of shepherds hear the birth announcement of the Messiah and are greatly perplexed.
Pray
Shepherds were insignificant people in Jesus’ day – they were people that were often ignored or looked at condescendingly. Pray that you would have time today to honor those that are marginalized and ignored – they may be the people that God is using to get your attention.
Practice
Who are the people at your school or at work or in your family that are continually overlooked? Send them a note or a text today that tells them you see their work and appreciate it.
