MessengersNäide

Our Response Matters
(It would be beneficial to read the Scriptures before beginning each day.)
In our final segment for this devotional, we will turn the tables a bit. As we check out some passages in Acts 17, we see two different groups of people who receive the same message but respond completely differently. It is great for us to remember that we, as messengers are not responsible for people’s responses, just our job to relay the message in the best way possible.
It is also important to remember that even as messengers, we can receive messages from God still, and we need to be aware of how we respond. Do we get mad when it’s something we don’t want to hear, or do we pray and consider things carefully so we can find the truth?
Below are a few questions to discuss how we should react in hard situations and how God rescues us.
What message are you relaying by how you treat your friends, family, and peers?
How do you tend to react when you hear news that makes you upset?
What does your response to the message of the Gospel look like in how you treat others?
About this Plan

More so than at any other time in history, it is easy to get a message to someone. We can pick up a phone, and a few taps later, someone can know where we are, see a picture of us, or know what we want for dinner! Only the most important messages stand the test of time.
