If everything in the earth is the Lord’s, that includes our children. Take the grace that Jesus is extending to you today. You don’t have to have it all figured out to be a good parent. There is grace for you. Release control.

PRAYER:

Lord, I humbly acknowledge that this earth belongs to you. Everything you have created, including my very life, belongs to you. On top of that, these children you have entrusted me to parent belong to you. I confess that I forget this often, and I also forget they are their own persons. Gently remind me not to treat them like extensions of myself. They are unique, and they are yours. You created them; you knew them before I did, and you have a plan for their lives.

This truth can relieve some of the pressure I feel as a parent. Help me accept the grace you extend to me. I know I don’t have to have it all figured out. Let me focus on today. I praise you, for you are in control and have a plan for my children’s lives. May I rest in the knowledge of your control. Thank you for the grace you give.
