New to Faith: Bible Reading PlanNäide

Part 2: Spiritual Practices
As we follow Christ, we get to participate in spiritual practices. Spiritual practices are intentional activities that help us connect with God. They are found in the Bible and practiced by the church over the past 2,000 years. The purpose of spiritual practices is to align our whole selves--heart, soul, and mind--with God (Matthew 22:37), and in doing so, we become more like Jesus in how we think and respond to our world. We do not participate in spiritual practices so that God will love us more. Instead, they help us grow in our relationship with God as we learn more about God and His values.
Tomorrow we will begin to look at some of these spiritual practices.
