Be Still: 15 Days With God Näide

LIVING BY FAITH
…But the just shall live by his faith. HABAKKUK 2:4b
“How long will you let all this evil continue, Lord?”I think we can all resonate with the cry of the prophet. Are you asking God this today? As we see such a major divide in our nation and corruption at the deepest levels, we wonder, “How long, oh Lord will you allow this to go on?” Perhaps your situation may seem unjust and unfair, but this is where true faith comes in.
Faith has confidence that the Lord is Who He says He is and will do what He says He will do. It isn’t birthed in philosophy or human effort. But when we quiet our worries and fears and lean upon God’s Word and the sweet influence of His Spirit, we can then discern what the mind of the Lord is.
The proud are blind to this heavenly perspective and often are far too impatient to wait for God’s will to come to pass. But faith can grasp hold of what God has promised and lead you up the mountain, far above the circumstances. Faith gives you an aerial view of God’s greater purpose.

About this Plan

"Be still, and know that I am God;" (PSALM 46:10a). Many Christians are familiar with this verse, but do we really understand it? This exhortation applies when we are distracted by our successes, as when we are fearful and disquieted by some troublesome news. We need to learn to quiet ourselves by opening God’s Word and gaining His perspective in both cases.
