Walking Through a Spiritual DroughtNäide

Worship Him in Songs
Worship in Spirit. When you sing and worship, you take the time to be in the presence of God. Can you imagine Paul and Silas were in prison singing praises to Jesus? If it were me in prison, I wouldn't be singing and worshiping; I would be angry, questioning the goodness of God. Because of their worship, when Paul and Silas were at rock bottom, God saved them from their imprisonment. He brought the house down! Worship is a weapon against Satan's tricks and lies. Paul and Silas show us that even while in the middle of trials and tribulations, we are to praise the name of Jesus. Paul and Silas are just one example of believers praising and worshiping God. Several people in the Bible teach us even when our spirits are low, praise Him.
Luke 1:47
My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior.
Philippians 4:4
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
Today, challenge yourself:
- Give praise and worship to God the Father, Son, and Spirit today. Call Him by his many names, Alpha and Omega, Almighty, King of Kings, Prince of Peace.
- Make a list of the wonderful names of God.
