Pastor How to Read LukeNäide

Please read the Gospel of Luke 1:67-77.
What a beautiful, powerful prophecy from Zechariah. He was mute for 9 months and the moment he could speak, he burst forth in prophecy. I wonder if I couldn't speak for 9 months, what would my first words be?
Verses 67-73 are about God’s redemption and salvation. And how God saved us from our enemies.
What is the purpose for which God saved us?
74 To grant us that we, being delivered from the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear, 75 In holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life.
After God saved us, we have 2 purposes:
1. To serve Him without fear
2. To live in Holiness and righteousness
Let’s serve Him and live in Holiness all the days of our lives.
76 “And you, my little son, will be called the prophet of the Most High, because you will prepare the way for the Lord. 77 You will tell his people how to find salvation through forgiveness of their sins.
Zechariah prophesied over his little son.
Parents, especially dads, prophesy over your young sons and daughters.
There is a confluence of fatherly authority, love and destiny all rolled into one, when dads prophesy over their children.
