Strong Start - a Devotion on StrengthNäide

Strength to Grow
It is a scientific fact that roots are of great importance when it comes to the growth of a plant or tree. As a matter of fact, the deeper the roots are, the more beneficial they are to the growth process. If the roots are not healthy and properly postured, growth will be minimal, severely stunted, or at worst, completely nonexistent.
This scripture tells us that our roots will grow down into God's love and keep us strong. In so many words, what's being said here is: God's love is a place of strength, and therefore, the deeper you delve into love with God, the stronger you will become.
The secret for exponential growth in this season of your life, your business, your relationships, isn't going to be found in a self-help book or e-course; it won't even be found on Sundays during your pastor's sermon. Instead, you will discover the strength for growth through a deep (and meaningful) connection with God.
The bottom line is pretty simple. Anchor your roots deep in God. If you want to grow, you can't afford to be afraid of the deep. The deep is where the unimaginable happens; a place of endless newness. In this deep place, you will see yourself in a new way. You will learn new things about God as growth leads to a revelation about pieces of God's character that were once a mystery.
Father, I thank You for the grace and strength to grow; to evolve, and to become. My trust is in You. My roots are anchored in Your mighty love today and for the rest of my life.
