Created for Connection

The Bible tells us that God created man. He then said it is not good for man to be alone, so He made him a companion and help-mate. This buttresses the importance of community and connection.

God wants us to recognize that our success on earth is hugely dependent on our ability to maximize the relationships He has provided us with. Our Father is also relational, as we see in the Trinity: God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and He made us in His image and likeness. We are created for connection, to love and be loved, to help and be helped, and to belong to a family and community.

Prayer: Dear God, open my eyes to see the people that You have placed in my life. Help me to understand each person’s purpose and how to be a blessing to them. Send me help and companions, and give me the wisdom to recognize them. Amen.
