My Hero: Healing From Wounds of a FatherNäide

Day 15 - God’s Faithfulness
At the beginning of this devotional, we learned that a major key to us getting healing for these wounds is our ability to change our mindset to focus on God’s attributes that make up for our earthly father’s shortcomings.
In the case of infidelity, we need to focus on God’s faithfulness. He is so faithful to us no matter what we do. In fact, we have to worry about us wandering away from God rather than Him leaving us for someone else. Not only is God faithful to stay with us but He is always in pursuit of us since He knows we have a tendency to wander.
We’re safe and secure with God.
Because of God’s faithfulness, we can ask Him for help on how to deal with our dad’s infidelity. God can give us the strength to forgive. He can also give us the wisdom to navigate all of the emotions that come with loving our fathers in spite of their flaws.
About this Plan

Dads can be such important figures they seem almost larger than life, like superheroes. God gave us earthly fathers to be extensions of Him to provide protection, guidance, and love. When they don’t fulfill those expectations, it can cause deep wounding. This plan covers ways we can get healing from the wounds of a father.
