Real Hope: Peace in the ChaosNäide

Focus
Many years ago my wife had a severe reaction to an anti-nausea drug that sent her into a fit. Fortunately, the medical intern in Emergency immediately recognized the problem and administered an antidote which, unfortunately, sent her into another three days of oblivion. After recovering, Kathryn told me that the peace of God had never left her. She is a strong believer and loves God’s Word, which says, ‘and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus’ (Philippians 4:7 NKJV).
The key to peace in chaos is focus. Focus is not a cue-card to be pulled from your pocket on a bad day, but rather a cue-card written on your heart and mind continually. It is a God-centered life that locks peace in place.
Whether you’re faced with personal challenges or a society seemingly gone mad, please take a cue from this passage and learn, continually, to ‘fix your attention on God’. Now, there is peace.

About this Plan

Look at finding peace in the chaos. In the world, in our community, in our own lives, chaos will come. But in those moments it’s good to know where to find peace that brings greater perspective, understanding and direction, and knowing that God is working all things together for His good and in His time.
