Love God Greatly - David

DAY 1 OF 54

SOAP: Psalm 78:70-72 David learned to lead in obscurity. He was faithful to tend to sheep while no one noticed, but God never misses a thing. David’s faithfulness and integrity were rewarded, and his territory increased from the sheepfold to the kingdom. Are you facing a giant today? The battle is the Lord’s. He stands with you on the front lines and will defend your righteous cause. He never forgets those who choose to quietly serve Him in the field. Look back and remember how His overcoming strength has carried you in the past, and let that fill you with confidence as you move forward in faith. Lord, help us to be faithful and choose wisely today in whatever field you have placed us. Thank You for helping us to overcome the giants in the land. May our actions and attitudes today please You and bring You glory. Amen.

***SOAP Method

S – SCRIPTURE
Physically write out the Bible verse
You’ll be amazed at what God will reveal to you when you slow down to write or meditate on what you are reading!

O – OBSERVATION
What do you see in the verses you’re reading?
Who is the audience? Is there a repetition of words? What words stand out to you? What is the main lesson or theme?

A – APPLICATION
When God’s Word becomes personal
What is God saying to me today? How can I apply what I just read to my life? Are there any changes I need to make?

P – PRAYER
Pray God’s Word back to Him
If He has revealed something to you during this time in His Word, pray about it. Confess if He has revealed some sin that is in your life. Take time to thank Him for His goodness in your life.
