Love God Greatly - Galatians

DAY 33 OF 40

Paul describes the evidence of the Holy Spirit in a believer’s life. Knowledge and spiritual understanding of God should result in a strong Christian walk and the bearing of spiritual fruit which reflects a more Christ-like character. The longer we walk with the Lord and the more we submit our lives to His will, then the more our lives should transform so that we reflect Him. Are the decisions you make and the attitudes and behaviors you exhibit throughout the day indicative of your knowledge of God? Are your decisions based solely on your own will or God’s will for your life? With each day, are you growing in the fruit of the Spirit: Are you growing in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control? If not, are you digging into the Word of God so that you might know the Lord more intimately? Father God, You created me with divine purpose for Your divine will. You have placed Your Holy Spirit within me to help guide my life. Lord, help me to yield to the Spirit that I might bear much fruit. Let the fruit of Your Spirit grow and flourish in my life as I am washed by the Water of Your Word. Let the works of my flesh be choked out by Your presence, and be destroyed by Your mighty hand. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

About this Plan

Love God Greatly - Galatians

We are going to experience Paul’s exhortation to the young Christians in Galatia (also meant for us) telling them that all that is necessary – all they need – is the gospel… the good news. Tim Keller says, “The gospel – the message that we are more wicked than we ever dared believe, but more loved and accepted in Christ than we ever dared hope – creates a radical new dynamic for personal growth, for obedience, for love.” And that makes our hearts sing! Galatians summarizes the gospel and what it means to our hearts. This, friends, is life changing.
