From Beginning to EndNäide

We skipped over a few chapters that give detailed requirements for how the people are to live their lives. The people commit to obeying God’s laws, and God reveals himself to the leaders of the nation. This is probably the closest relationship God will ever have with the people of Israel.
We are never closer to God than when we obey him. Jesus said in John 14:21, “Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them.” We communicate our love for God through obedience.

About this Plan

This is part one of a four-part plan to read the books of the Bible that tell of the historical events. Although the Bible contains many stories, it is one story from beginning to end of God’s interactions with humanity. One day per week can be used to catch up on missed readings or for reflection. Notes are also included to assist with understanding.
