As a writer, mother, and growth-minded individual, I am always looking for opportunities to learn. In the Bible, Jesus taught his followers using parables—simple stories to illustrate spiritual lessons. He is still doing this for me today. When I recently watched Star Wars with my family, the Holy Spirit highlighted it's parallels with His Word. Join me as we unpack the Jedi ways that point us to Jesus.

God does all the heavy lifting in our relationship with Him. He sent Jesus to save us. He gives us the faith to believe. Today, everyone seems to have an opinion about the best way to better ourselves and develop into the people we want to be, but what if we looked to Jesus as our ultimate example? Our world in the best of times seems uncertain and upside down. If it wasn’t for Jesus, the Son of God, we would have no hope. Every Christmas reminds us that the gift of Immanuel—God with us—is a gift that keeps on giving. We are never alone, from now until eternity. That is worth celebrating.

Christmas is a time of joy, hope and love. As we get ready to celebrate, we are going to take a journey to Bethlehem and experience the story of Christmas to prepare our hearts to receive the greatest gift of all - Jesus.

The ancient Scriptures, written by the prophets of old, declare that the Word of God was indeed made flesh and dwelt among us. Jesus, the Christ, was the fulfillment of both the Law and the Prophets. This year, may we share His peace and declare goodwill toward all mankind!

The Bible tells us that the one true God who created the universe chose to “move into the neighborhood” and reveal himself to humanity. What does that mean for his followers? How can we show up for others like Jesus did for the world?
