DÍA 8 DE 21

# God Looks at the Heart Muggsy Bogues is the shortest player in the history of the NBA. At 5 foot 3 inches (1.6m) he barely came up to the waist of most of his opponents. Not what you’d normally go for in a basketball player, but he’s considered one of the greats, playing 889 games over a 14-year career. Muggsy proved you can’t judge a book by its cover. However, when God says, “People look at outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart,” it goes so much deeper than just "judging a book by its cover." As humans we are limited by what we can observe and measure. It’s why we use KPI’s and the like to be able to measure someone’s performance. But God knows our innermost thoughts and desires. He sees not only our performance but also our potential. He doesn’t just see the decisions we make but our inmost character. God didn’t choose David because he was strong, because he was wise, or even because he was morally upright. He chose David because he knew that despite all his weakness and character flaws, he would always turn back to God. We all need this posture. We need to pray with David in Psalm 139:23-24 “Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” Thought Point Is there anything right now that you need to repent of and turn back to God? Prayer Point Ask God to search your heart. If there is any offensive way in you, hand it back over to Him.
