When you play team sports at school, sometimes the teams are chosen by electing two team captains who take turns choosing the players. You awkwardly stand around waiting to be chosen. (Especially if it’s a sport you’re not the best at.) You hope you’re not the last to be chosen and you really hope you're chosen for a winning team. Have you ever felt like it’s just the ‘super sporty’ kids or the ‘popular’ kids that are chosen first?
In God’s team you’re already chosen. He chose you! You’re never last; you’re never left wondering if you'll make the team. God’s word tells us that before the world was formed, He chose you. God doesn’t choose you because of how good you are, how cool you are or because you’re a certain kind of person. God chose you because HE LOVES YOU, because of Jesus; in God’s eyes you’re holy, blameless and loved.
