How to Be a Ferocious W-a-R-R-I-O-RMuestra

Day Three – R is for Reaction
Your reaction as a warrior is very important. To react to hurt, betrayal, or a bad doctor’s report with dignity and grace takes mental discipline. It is important that you do not allow your emotions to drive you in a fight instead of using wisdom. If you aren’t mindful of your reaction and you respond emotionally instead of with wisdom and the proper strategy, you could end up losing the fight.
David did not go after Goliath emotionally; he was strategic. When you think like a warrior, you go into the battle with a clear head and your strategy intact.
In the social media world there are a lot of trolls, and when you post things, you open up your page to scrutiny, both positive and negative. I always felt as if I needed to defend myself, but sometimes my response just made things worse. Either my words would be used against me, or I would end up wasting my time going back and forth with people.
Your reaction to obstacles, setbacks, or people who antagonize and torment you reveals how you think. So think like a warrior. Be confident in the knowledge that God is your defense (Ps. 59:9), and respond to your obstacles with wisdom after seeking God for the right strategy. And please remember, everything doesn’t require a response.
