Precious And Honoured In His SightMuestra

When I’m going through a difficult season, messages from friends that speak hope into my life really help me persevere.
In today’s passage, God himself sends one such message to his people, Israel, in the midst of affliction. He reminds them that he made them, he redeemed them, that they are precious and honored in his sight. He reminds them that he loves them, and that he is with them always.
But then, in the following verses, he makes it clear that these truths are not just for them. He expands their understanding of his redemption plan. He will bring back Israelites scattered by the exile, but he won’t stop there – he will bring all the people he has called, from the ends of the earth.
Fast forward nearly 3000 years, and God’s kingdom truly extends across the globe. Most of us live tens of thousands of kilometres away from Israel, yet we too have been gathered into God’s family. But the mission isn’t over. God is still calling people from the ends of the earth, and he invites us to be part of this great task of “making disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19).
Does your view of God’s redemption plan need to be expanded? How can you be part of his global mission?
