I am therefore urging, that before all should supplication, prayers, petitions, thanksgiving, done be for all men; for kings and all rulers, so that we shall lead a quiet and calm life in complete g-dliness and moral earnestness.

therefore want I, that the men should prayer do in every place, lifting up holy hands without anger and dissensions. also in this way the women should themselves adorn with modest clothing, with respectable comportment and modesty; not with braiding the hair, not with gold, or pearls, or expensive clothing; but with deeds good, as it becomes for women, who profess themselves to be fearer of heaven.
