A Spirit-Filled Church: Using What’s in the Houseنموونە

What’s in Your House?
A widow, desperate and bankrupt, comes to the prophet Elisha. Her husband is gone, her sons face slavery, and her cupboards are nearly bare. Elisha asks her a surprising question: “What do you have in your house?”
The woman thinks she has nothing “except a small jar of oil.” That jar becomes the seed of her miracle. God doesn’t need abundance to work wonders; He starts with what we already have.
As churches, we can fall into comparison wishing we had more resources, more volunteers, more influence. But God isn’t waiting for what we don’t have; He’s asking, What’s already in your house? A song, a gift of hospitality, a heart for prayer, a willingness to serve these are the jars He multiplies.
When we stop fixating on what’s missing and start offering what’s present, we position ourselves for God’s provision.
Reflection Question:
What gifts, resources, or opportunities has God already placed in your “house” that He may want to use?

The single command Jesus gave his followers before igniting his movement was “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised...” (Acts 1:4). He was telling them to wait and then move with the Spirit. For a movement to accomplish God's mission, it must be guided by the Spirit of God. We want to challenge every leader at Exponential with the big idea of Spirit-filled: Moving With The Spirit.
