Lies & Truth Canvasنموونە

Love God. Love Others.
Welcome to Day 1 of your Lies & Truth journey.
Before we dive into specific areas where the enemy tries to deceive us, we begin where Jesus tells us everything begins with love. In Matthew 22:37–40, Jesus says:
“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment.
And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
It is no coincidence that Jesus says all the commandments are summed up in these two. If we truly love God with all of our heart, mind, and soul - through the power of His Holy Spirit, many of the lies the enemy feeds us will lose their hold.
Loving God, and loving people. That’s our filter. In our human strength, we simply can’t do it. But with the power of the Holy Spirit working in us, this kind of love becomes possible.
When our eyes are truly on Him; when we love God fully and see others as created in His image, even our enemies become people we can hope to see restored to the Father.
God reminds us in Romans 8:28:
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Even the pain others cause us, even our own failures; He uses it all for good, for His purpose.
And when fear creeps in, we can cling to this promise:
1 John 4:18:
“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”
God’s love isn’t just comfort—it’s a weapon. His love, fully received, will cast out the fear that so often fuels the lies we believe.
Self-Evaluation
Do I prioritize loving God in my daily life, and do I view others as image-bearers of God?
Repentance
Ask the Father to show you any lies you've believed that keep you from loving Him and others well. Repent and ask the Holy Spirit to stir a deeper love for God in your heart.
Closing Encouragement
Remember that God has already poured out His love on you through Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. When you center your life on loving Him in appreciation for His Finished work and loving others, you are aligning with His will.
What comes next?
As you begin this 6-day journey, here’s what you can expect:
- Day 2: Your Identity– What lies have you believed about who you are?

One of the enemy's greatest tactics is to constantly feed us lies about ourselves, others and our circumstances. Accepting these lies is sinful and calls for acknowledgement and repentance. The only way to defeat these thoughts is through the Truth of God's Word. We must not rely on our feelings or let them guide us, but stand firmly on the truth and the truth alone. The truth alone can set us free!
