A Thrill of Hope

ڕۆژی6 لە 17

Have you experienced a season of uncertainty, where everything felt outside your comfort zone or what you planned— and yet you found the capacity to praise God instead of withdrawing or giving up?

There’s something powerful about worship within uncertainty.

Mary didn’t know the end of her story. She was a young, unmarried girl carrying a child the world wouldn’t understand. She didn’t know how people would respond or what her future would look like. But instead of collapsing under the weight of what she couldn’t control, she lifted her voice in praise:

My soul magnifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour.” (Luke 1:46–47, ESV)

Mary’s song wasn’t about what she felt, it was about who she knew. Her circumstances were unpredictable, but God is not.

There’s a kind of worship that only grows in the soil of surrender. It declares, “even if I don’t see it yet, God is still good.”

I remember waiting on God to move in a situation that felt impossible. Every prayer felt like it hit the ceiling. There were moments I gave in to frustration and doubt. It took many seasons of refining for me to understand how God works through hardship. But looking back, I can see how He used every moment to shape my faith and teach me to completely trust and depend on Him.

And the most beautiful part? Watching Him work in wondrous ways, turning what felt like dead-ends into testimonies of His goodness.

It’s easy to praise God when life is good, but true faith worships in the middle of uncertainty. Worship realigns our hearts to truth. It reminds us that God’s promises stretch beyond our present situation.

Maybe life feels unsettled right now. Maybe you’re waiting or walking through uncertainty. What if you let worship lead the way? Praise doesn’t just honour God, it strengthens your spirit. Like Mary, when you lift your eyes to the One who is faithful through every generation, joy starts to rise again.

Today, ponder this: How can worship shift your focus from fear to faith in your current season?

Lord, thank You that You are worthy of praise in every season. Teach me to worship You like Mary did. Thank You for using the hard seasons to grow me in dependence on You. Let my praise remind my soul that You are still working, still faithful, and still good. Amen.
