A man with leprosy came to Jesus and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” That’s a striking statement. He knew Jesus was powerful—but he wasn’t sure if Jesus cared enough to use that power for him.
Many of us feel the same way. We believe God is powerful, but we struggle to believe He is good. Does He actually want to help us? Jesus’ response is unforgettable: He reached out, touched the man, and said, “I am willing.” Instantly, the man was healed.
Jesus could have spoken the healing from a distance. But He chose to touch the untouchable. That’s the heart of God on display. He’s not just able—He’s willing. He’s not afraid of your condition, your shame, or your mess. He wants to meet you right where you are.
