Grace Doesn’t Need Permission
Legalism always demands permission. “Are you allowed to do that?” “Did you get approval?” It thrives in control-based environments where man-made rules take precedence over spiritual liberty. But grace doesn’t ask for permission; it releases you to obey God, not people.
Galatians 5:1 says it plainly: Christ has set us free—don’t let yourselves be burdened again. Yet many believers live afraid of breaking unspoken church codes. They fear judgment more than disobedience to God.
God isn’t interested in you obeying systems that keep you dependent on people’s opinions. He wants your obedience to come from love and truth, not fear and pressure. Grace empowers you to walk boldly, not cautiously. Legalism makes you second-guess what God has already affirmed.
Reflection Questions:
- Where have I allowed human rules to override God’s leading in my life?
- What would it look like to follow God without needing approval from others?
Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for setting me free from the need to please people. I choose to walk boldly in the freedom You’ve given me. Let my obedience come from grace, not guilt. Amen.

With biblical clarity and personal insight, he shows how to recognize legalistic control, reject false guilt, and walk in the freedom of God’s grace. If you’ve ever felt more bound in church than free, this plan is for you.
