Following Jesus at Christmas

ڕۆژی10 لە 25

As we reflect on and approach the celebration of Jesus entering our world, take a moment to think about how He entered—He came through the willingness of a young woman to make room for Him in her life. Quite literally for her, but the same question goes to each of us: Will you open up your life to be willing to receive His Word and bring His plan to the world? Are you willing to be inconvenienced and uncomfortable to allow God’s Word to be birthed in your world? Also, note that God came to Mary with a mission that would bring life to her, but it was more about what she was carrying or what her baby would bring to the world.

Reflection

  • Are you willing to be the person God uses to set others up for greatness, or are you only willing to serve for personal glory?
  • Is your life postured in a way that you are open to and surrendered to His Word?
  • Are you creating room for God in this season to use your life, your words, and your voice to reach your world?

Following Jesus at Christmas

Over the next twenty-five days, let’s celebrate the entrance of Jesus and the salvation He purchased. Like Mary did so many years ago, let’s make room for Jesus in our lives by making daily space and time for His Word. We encourage you to read the verse each day and reflect on Jesus’ character and nature. You’ll find that the more you study the Word of God, the more your life will begin to look like Jesus! This devotional will reflect on the humble and triumphant entrance of our Prince of Peace, Savior, Lord, and King.
