Hebrewsنموونە

How fortunate we are today to have MRI, CT, and X-ray scans. In the past, doctors had only one way to find out what was wrong inside the body: they had to cut open the patient and see if surgery was required.
The author of Hebrews applies this image to the Word of God. It helps us recognize if there is anything in our lives that blocks the way to “God’s rest.” God’s Word exposes our self-deception. And God’s Word is not just the Bible—it is also a person: Jesus Christ.
Reflection
The Bible is inseparably connected with Jesus. Without direct contact with Him, the Bible remains only a book with beautiful words. Reading the Bible without the presence of Jesus through the Holy Spirit does not work. Only then does it come alive and show us the true state of our hearts.
