04. As I Have Planned
What: God’s plans cannot be stopped
Lectio. “The Lord Almighty has sworn, ‘Surely, as I have planned, so it will be, and as I have purposed, so it will happen.’” (Isaiah 14:24, NIV – read Isa. 14:24–27).
Meditatio. Within the judgments against the nations (Isa. 13–23), Isaiah announced the fall of Assyria. Fulfillment began in the miraculous deliverance of Jerusalem and was completed in the following decades until that empire disappeared completely.
Oratio. Pray that your faith in God’s sovereignty over all institutions and powers will be strengthened. May your confidence in His divine decisions never be shaken. May you understand that God’s plans cannot be stopped!
Contemplatio. Look with Isaiah at the Lord as He carefully plans what to do with the enemies of His people. See how God executes His plan perfectly, without hindrance.
Confessio. I remember the struggle with a bank that refused to pay an amount owed to our ministry, part of a project God has given us. I simply presented the matter to the Lord and, days later, they paid even more than expected.
