HOW to HEAL FROM REJECTIONنموونە

DAY ONE: GOD SEES ME
THE WORD
- Psalm 27:10 – “When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up.”
- 1 Peter 2:9 – “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”
- Ephesians 1:4 – “According as He has chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.”
Rejection can leave deep emotional scars. When we are forsaken by those closest to us — parents, friends, or mentors — we may feel invisible, unwanted, and unworthy. But God’s Word reassures us that human rejection cannot cancel divine selection. The Lord Himself takes us up, lifts us, and sets us in His light. He has chosen us even before the world began, marking us as His own treasured children.
The Holy Spirit is the gentle Comforter who comes alongside our wounded hearts. He whispers truth to us in moments of pain, reminding us that our worth is not defined by human approval but by God’s love. Through His presence, we begin to see ourselves as He sees us — holy, chosen, and cherished. The Spirit helps us receive divine affirmation even when people fail to affirm us.
Another vital truth is that rejection can refine our faith and teach us to rely entirely on God. As we learn to look to Him rather than human beings for affirmation, our trust and intimacy with the Lord deepen. The Spirit strengthens our hearts, showing that God’s approval is sufficient and His love unchanging, no matter how others treat us.
I, Marcus Mooki, know this pain deeply. My father’s rejection in my childhood left me feeling unseen and unworthy. But during those lonely moments, the Holy Spirit whispered, “Marcus, you are My son, chosen before the foundations of the world.” That reassurance began to heal the wounds of abandonment and gave me a firm sense of belonging in God’s family.
Over time, God took me on a journey of healing. He taught me to pray, to trust, and to embrace His love as the source of my identity. Each time rejection threatened to overwhelm me, He reminded me of His promises, opened doors of favour, and placed mentors in my life who reflected His love. Today, I can confidently say that I am secure in God’s eyes, and the pain of past rejection no longer defines me, i move with confidence in the finish work God in Christ Jesus.
