Faith Over Fearنموونە

Today, we invite you to pause, to rest in the presence of your Heavenly Father.
The One who became flesh and made his dwelling among us.
The One who moved into the neighbourhood.
The One who became Emmanuel, God with us.
May you know his nearness today.
May you breathe deeply in his presence.
And may his presence be your greatest gift this Christmas.
Where do you most need to experience the presence of Emmanuel, God with you, today?
Jesus, thank you for coming close, for stepping into our world and into our fears. In the quiet of this day, help me to slow down and remember that you are here. When worry rises or uncertainty lingers, let faith shine through my fear. Remind me that you are Emmanuel, God with us, and that your presence brings peace that no fear can shake. Help me to trust you today and to rest in the light of your love. Amen.

The season of Advent invites us to prepare our hearts for the coming of Jesus, not just with celebration but with reflection. In the Christmas story, fear is a recurring theme: in the Temple, in dreams, on hillsides and in quiet homes. Yet each time, God responds not with judgement but with reassurance: ‘Do not be afraid.’ In this series, we explore how choosing faith over fear helps us to welcome Jesus more deeply into our lives.
