What should I do to prepare for the Baptismal Service?

1. Prepare yourself spiritually by prayer, and by meditating on the Scriptures that refer to Water Baptism, and through confessing all sin to God.
2. Invite family and friends to witness your baptism. Prepare a brief testimony about how you came to Christ or of your intention to live for Christ. You will be allowed to share this before you are baptised. Your discipler will also provide a testimony.

What should I bring to the Baptismal Service?

1. Wear something that is modest. You can wear casual clothes that you don’t mind getting wet.
2. Bring a towel to dry off.
3. Bring a dry change of clothes. It might be cold following the service.

How will I be Water Baptised?

1. Some people get nervous about the process of Water Baptism. There is no need for this if you understand that the process is quite simple. We don’t want this to distract you from the blessing of this beautiful, spiritual step in your life.
2. The person baptising you will ask you some simple questions, then tip you backward. Please bend your knees; this helps the person doing the baptising. You will be submerged just enough to cover your face and then brought back up immediately.
