Romans: A 30 Day Visitنموونە

This section of Romans 8 holds a verse that is often quoted and often misquoted. Verse 28 says, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
What do you think is the difference between God working for good in our lives, versus us saying that whatever happens is good because God will work it out?
How would you explain to someone what it means that God is working for your good in all situations?
How have you seen it to be true that God is working for your good? Can you think of a specific example?

Paul's letter to the church in Rome is packed! He is helping this new church establish a vision for what it looks like to be citizens of God's Kingdom. There is doctrine to learn and live by, as well as wisdom for living life in ways that accurately reflect the King. As we take the trip together over the next month, we too see that what we believe, always influences how we live.
