Awestruck: 30 Days of Wonder in the Bible

ڕۆژی17 لە 30

Picture the most impossible thing you can imagine: the Creator of galaxies choosing to fit inside a human baby.

The Living Word of God learning to form words with a tiny toddler tongue. The One who holds the universe together taking His first wobbly steps.

This is the staggering wonder of Immanuel.

For seven centuries, Isaiah's prophecy hung in the air like a promise too good to believe. Then one night in Bethlehem, the impossible became flesh and blood.

Not just any child.
God Himself, stepping into skin and bones to be with His people.

Think about what that means. God didn't stay in heaven, sending messages through messengers. He came Himself. He chose cradle over throne, manger over palace, earth’s lowliness over heaven’s splendor. He felt what we feel—the ache of hunger, the weight of exhaustion, the sting of rejection, the warmth of friendship.

The name "Immanuel" isn't just ancient history. It's your present reality.

The same God who squeezed Himself into human skin to walk dusty roads with His disciples now walks through your day with you. Through His Spirit, Immanuel is still true: God with us. God with you.

Reflect:

What does "God with us" mean for how you read the Bible today?

Tomorrow we'll witness what happened when heaven's voice broke into human conversation.
