Faithful in The Hidden Seasons

Answering the call to write can feel very overwhelming at times. Not everyone will understand the time and investment you are pouring into this call.

There will be times when the going gets tough, and you may start to question whether you were called to do this.

Every writer faces hidden seasons: books that don’t sell, words that feel unseen, prayers that seem unanswered. But God values obedience more than outcomes. If He asked you to write, your obedience is already a success. Seeds take time to grow; your role is to plant faithfully and trust God for the harvest.

Reflection Questions:

• Where do I feel discouraged in my writing journey?
• What does it mean for me to define “success” by obedience rather than numbers?

Action Step:

Write a prayer of commitment: “Lord, I will keep sowing in faith, trusting You with the harvest.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank you for the call you have given me to steward my story. Strengthen me when I feel weak and remind me that you have given me everything I need to do what you have called me to do.
