The Windshield Life: Leaving the Rearview Behindنموونە

Day Three
Don’t Go Back Into the Cage
Imagine a bird that’s been set free. The cage door is wide open, the sky is endless—yet instead of soaring, it flies back inside and shuts itself in. Sounds crazy, right?
But that’s exactly what shame and guilt try to make us do. Jesus has already opened the door to freedom: “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1 NIV). God has “forgiven our wickedness and remembers our sins no more” (Hebrews 8:12 NIV). The cage of guilt isn’t locked anymore.
Still, the enemy whispers, “You belong in here. You’re not worthy.” But God’s Word says otherwise: “Those who look to Him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame” (Psalm 34:5 NIV).
The truth? You’re not defined by yesterday’s failures. You are "a new creation" (2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV). The door is open. The chains are gone.
Don’t step back into the cage. Spread your wings. Walk—or fly—forward into the freedom Christ died to give you.
