Worship More and Worry Less: 30 Days of Praiseنموونە

Have you noticed how excited you are when you buy a pair of new shoes, but after a while, those shoes don’t excite you anymore? Maybe they go out of style, or you wear a hole in them. Shoes are like cars. They get old, too. Every year, a new design makes your new car old. My point? Nothing in this life, stuff or relationships, jobs or success, fully satisfies. And that’s a good thing.
Nothing can fill us because the hole inside our hearts can only be filled by a loving, merciful God. He alone makes us whole. Hallelujah! If anything else could plug the empty place in us, we’d never search for Him.
And that, my friend, makes Him worthy of our worship.
Journal
Write a prayer of thanksgiving and praise for His wisdom. Thank Him for making you whole.

When worries won’t stop, and you can’t shake fear of what’s to come. When problem after problem bury your joy, and you find yourself asking, “Where is God?” you, my friend, sit in good company. You are not alone. Grab your coffee. Light a candle. A pen and journal are not essential, but they always deepen time with the Lord. This plan contains short journal prompts after the devotion and scripture reading. Worship invites the healing presence of the Lord. Come lay down your worries.
