Day 11 – Love rejoices in truth

Truth and iniquity are two contrasting words being used in 1 Corinthians 13:6 to compare two characteristics of love. Love thinks no evil of another person or thing, and does not rejoice in iniquity. But what about rejoicing in truth? What does that mean from scripture? Well, let’s delve deeper.

For Scripture to say 'love rejoiceth in the truth,' it means that love becomes joyful when what is true (not just what is true) is clearly displayed for all to see. For instance, when a part of scripture is fulfilled in the life of an individual, God delights in it. That is why He never grows tired of performing signs and wonders in people’s lives, so that they may see His power.

Rejoice when the right doctrine is being preached at the church you attend. Take it for yourself and use it to live, not forgoing your personal work in the process of growing spiritually.

You’re a blessing.
