Living Like Jesus in a Broken Worldنموونە

Living with Courage and Compassion
Big Idea: Living like Jesus in a broken world means courageously standing for truth and compassionately opening our lives to others.
It’s tempting to keep your head down when life is hard or faith feels costly. The Thessalonians knew that struggle too.
When the world feels like it’s on fire and the future seems uncertain, it’s easy to fall into traps that limit our calling.
We might retreat, protecting our own circle while ignoring the needs around us. Or we might go on the attack, tearing into people we disagree with. But Jesus shows us a better way: to live generously regardless of the economy, to show kindness no matter what others believe, and to love everyone boldly, even people who have nothing to offer in return.
Jesus gave His followers a mission: to live and love like Him until the very end. To be His hands and feet in a broken world in desperate need of healers. This kind of living takes courage, but it’s worth it.
God hasn’t called you to retreat, and He hasn’t called you to be hostile to others. That kind of living only causes more pain for followers of Jesus to heal. Instead, take the courageous step to be kind, live generously, and love boldly, no matter what headline comes next.
Challenge: Share encouragement with one person today, not just words, but a piece of your life through time, presence, or care.
