30 Scripture Based Prayers for Your Marriageنموونە

Father, be our refuge in every storm.
If you’ve lived any amount of time then you know the bright days don’t last forever…the sun fades and the storms roll in. Those vows you made are no longer just idealistic promises but commitments that take every bit of faith you have to stand by and live out.
It’s those storms that invite us into the shelter of the Almighty, the refuge of his love and strength of his hand. According to Psalm 46:1 (NIV), he is ever present. Deuteronomy 31:8 (NIV) says he goes before you, he won’t leave or forsake you. Joshua 1:9 (NIV) promises he will be with us wherever we go.
If we know God’s Word and believe it’s true, then when the storms roll in the way they always do, we can know that our marriage has a safe place to ride it out in his care. This is an invitation to rest in his care instead of trying to build your own defense. He is your defender, he is your strength and your shield. He is your help. Invite him to be what only he can be! He loves your marriage and he wants to protect it.
Today's Prayer:
Lord, Help us know, believe and trust that we can seek refuge in your care. We want to weather storms well and in a way that honors you and shows your glory. Protect us and protect our relationship.

Bringing your marriage before the Lord is both powerful and redemptive. When two imperfect people stand on Scripture and invite God to strengthen their bond, they build a defense the enemy cannot break. What a gift to know God is for your marriage, and for you. These next 30 days are an invitation to declare his Word over your relationship and trust him with what only he can do: protect, grow, and fortify your marriage from the inside out.
