Lord, I know that you have given me no guarantees
Nor have you assigned me to some stationary existence
You don’t provide a “no change” option for me in my life settings Every element exists in a state of constant flux
Including me

Everything is a movement The sudden starts
The unanticipated stops The collapsing relationships The stalled opportunities

I want to absorb these changes But I can only do that
When I am absorbed by you

You are my glassy sea
Undisturbed by these mercurial winds

Because the winds are yours, too
