Set Free: a Journey Through Galatiansنموونە

Anchored in the True Gospel
Paul wastes no time reminding the Galatians—and us—that there is only one true gospel. He’s astonished that they’re turning to a different message, one that distorts the grace of Christ (Galatians 1:6–7). In a world filled with spiritual counterfeits and shifting truth, Paul calls believers to hold fast to the unchanging message of Jesus crucified and risen. The gospel is not based on human approval but on divine revelation.
Paul defends the source of his message, making it clear that he didn’t receive it from man but through a direct revelation of Jesus Christ (Galatians 1:12). This reminds us that our faith isn’t based on trends, popularity, or persuasion—it’s rooted in the authority of Christ. Like in 2 Timothy 3:16, where Paul affirms that all Scripture is God-breathed, we’re reminded that the gospel doesn’t evolve with culture—it endures.
His transformation from a persecutor to a preacher (Galatians 1:13–16) shows that God’s grace can rewrite any story. No matter our past, God can call, equip, and use us for His purposes. Just as 1 Corinthians 15:10 declares, “by the grace of God I am what I am,” we too can walk in the freedom of being called by grace, not works.
In this chapter, we’re challenged to evaluate what we believe, who we follow, and where our confidence lies. The gospel of Jesus Christ is not just true—it is trustworthy, powerful, and personal.
Prayer:
Lord, keep me anchored in Your truth when other voices try to pull me away. Help me recognize anything that distorts the gospel and give me boldness to stand firm in grace. I want to live out the freedom and calling You’ve given me. Amen.
