30 Days of Delighting in the Wordنموونە

Day 2
“Oh, how I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day.” - Psalm 119:97 (NKJV)
You love what you put your time and affection into. The more you focus on something, the more you will desire it. I remember hating papaya, but since my mom gave it to me almost every day, I eventually grew to like its taste.
There is a psychological theory called the mere exposure effect, which describes how we grow to like things we are familiar with and repeatedly exposed to.
This is also true with the Word of God. We will grow to love the Word of God as we choose to meditate on it throughout the day.
The psalmist in Psalm 119:97 expresses their love for the word, including, “It is my meditation all the day.”
Position yourself to hunger and desire for God’s Word by keeping the Word of God before you. Be intentional throughout the day to meditate on His Word.
Prayer: Jesus, help me to look and meditate on Your Word throughout the day that I may love Your Word.
