THE DESCENDANTS OF DAVID
David’s Sons: Amnon, Daniel, Absalom, Adonijah, Shephatiah, Ithream, Shimea, Shobab, Nathan, Solomon, Ibhar, Elishama, Eliphelet, Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia, Elishama, Eliada, and Eliphelet
The line from Solomon (son of David and Bathsheba) becomes the lineage of Joseph, and the line from Nathan (also a son of David and Bathsheba) becomes the lineage of Mary, making both parents of Jesus descendants of David.
David also had a daughter named Tamar. David’s son Solomon and his sons are referenced throughout the books of 1 + 2 Kings.
