Mom Friends & Messy Moments: Building Community Through Motherhood Challengesنموونە

Day 4: When You Feel Left Out or Forgotten
Scripture:
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” – Psalm 34:18 (NIV)
Reflection:
It’s hard to admit, but feeling left out as a mom hits differently. You see the group chats you’re not in, the park playdates you weren’t invited to, the moms who seem to connect easily while you feel like the outsider. It can sting. Deep.
But here's the truth: God sees you. He hasn’t forgotten you. Your worth is not tied to being included in every circle or every conversation. Sometimes, God allows those quiet, lonely seasons so He can remind you that your identity is found in Him—not in approval, popularity, or performance.
Feeling left out doesn’t make you less valuable. It’s a reminder to lean into God’s closeness, to let Him heal the ache, and to trust that He is preparing a place where you’ll be seen, celebrated, and safe.
Prayer:
Lord, You see the ache I feel when I’m left out. Thank You for being near when my heart is hurting. Help me trust that I am not forgotten, and show me the friendships You are preparing for me—ones rooted in love, not fear.
Journal Prompt:
Write about a recent moment when you felt excluded. Then write a truth from God’s Word to replace the lie that you’re not enough or unworthy. What does God say about you?
