Empty Pockets - the Art of Givingنموونە

What are you known for?
Everyone has something they’re known for—something that sets them apart. Maybe you’re the one who’s always up for a good coffee, the go-to for advice at work, or the person who never misses a Sunday service or midweek catch-up.
Christians, too, are known for something. If we zoom out and look at the last 20 centuries, we can see what the Church and Jesus’ followers are known for.
CHRISTIANS ARE KNOWN FOR GENEROSITY
Think about the initiatives started by Christians throughout history:
- Hospitals: Caring for the sick when society discarded them.
- Orphanages: Protecting and loving children who were abandoned.
- Schools: Providing education for all,
- Universities: Institutions like Harvard and Yale were founded as Christian organizations.
At their core, these initiatives were inspired by Jesus’ teaching to love and serve others. But generosity is not just about big institutions—it’s about the daily choices we make to give and serve.
ARE YOU CARRYING THE TORCH?
If your life were the only picture of Jesus people saw, what would they know Him for?
Are you living a generous life? Do you give your time, money, and resources to others? Over the next few days, consider how you can live generously for God.
