Skills for Managing Emotions

ڕۆژی4 لە 5

The Psalms are filled with laments. Believe it or not, God is okay with our laments. When we lament, God is not annoyed or, worse yet, repulsed by us—quite the contrary. God invites us to lament so we can enjoy deep intimacy as we experience what is to be seen and known by God, while being comforted in ways that may even surprise us. Jesus wept at the death of his friend, Lazarus. It's okay to be like Jesus and feel the pain, even to the point of weeping. Lament and know you have a friend who will be closer than the air you breathe, even in your darkest pain.
