Day 2: Consistency Demands Accountability

Devotional:

Even after Peter’s restoration, he still struggled with consistency. In Galatians 2, Paul had to confront Peter for withdrawing from eating with Gentiles when Jewish believers arrived. His actions were inconsistent with the truth of the gospel.

Why does accountability matter? Because without it, we can slip into compromise and justify inconsistent behavior. Paul didn’t confront Peter to embarrass him—he did it to protect the purity of the gospel and restore Peter’s consistency.

We all need people in our lives who love us enough to confront us when we’re off track. Accountability exposes blind spots and challenges us to live out what we profess.

✅ Reflection:

Who in your life holds you accountable to your faith and values? Are you open to correction, or do you resist confrontation?

Daily Prayer:

Lord, surround me with people who love me enough to speak truth into my life. Give me a heart that is teachable and willing to receive correction. Help me embrace accountability as a tool to stay consistent in my walk with You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
