Prioritizing Mission Over Comfort
Our culture is deeply invested in comfort and safety, often prioritizing these above all else. Yet, the call of Christ challenges us to place the mission of the gospel above our personal well-being. The early church understood this well, praying not for safety but for boldness in their mission.
Living on mission means stepping outside of our comfort zones. The gospel's power, after all, lies not in shielding us from discomfort but in transforming lives through truth and love. This requires a willingness to experience discomfort for the sake of others knowing Christ.
Consider your own life: Are there times you have placed comfort over calling? Reflect on the mission Christ has for you and pray for the Holy Spirit to fill you with a boldness that sees the mission as more vital than comfort or safety.

In this plan we focus on "kingdom courage"—the boldness to live for Christ amid a chaotic and challenging world. The early apostles faced strong opposition yet remained faithful to their mission. This plan is a reminder that true courage is rooted in a right view of God, prioritizing His mission over our comfort, and depending on the Holy Spirit’s power rather than our own strength. It's a call to stand firm and live boldly for Jesus, no matter the cost.
