A Conquered Foeنموونە

Revelation 12 teaches us that Satan does not have the power to derail God's plans. He couldn't prevent Jesus's birth. He couldn't tempt Jesus away from God's plan. Instead, his power was broken when Jesus died on the cross in obedience to God. As such the final outcome of this war has already been determined.
However, the war is not over yet. Until the final day when Satan is cast into the lake of fire, we must remain steadfast. And so, we must equip ourselves with the Word of God and the tools He has provided to fight against Satan and withstand his schemes. But we do this knowing that our adversary, Satan, is already defeated. He is a conquered foe.

Revelation 12 has some strange imagery that isn't easy to interpret, but what we can clearly see in this chapter is a description of Satan's downfall and defeat.
