Elijah - The Mountain of Quiet Whisper
Discussion Questions:
1. Can you relate to Elijah? We’ve all seen God move and work, but Elijah was running for his life and assumed he’d die on the side of a mountain. Have you been there before?
2. What memories are triggered inside you as you reflect on this passage of scripture? What does this cause you to hope for?
3. What do you think was going through Elijah’s head as he heard from God in the whisper of the wind and not through a fire or lightning bolt? What goes through your head in reflecting on the way God spoke to Elijah?
Prayer:
Pray that we would be men who learn to stop running away. Pray that we would be men who learn to find a place to hear from the creator. Pray that we would be men who are convicted to their core that Our Father is always speaking. May we learn to silence our minds and bodies to learn how to hear from God through the gentle whisper of the wind. May the Holy Spirit guide us in this truth. Amen and a thousand more amens.
